When I was a kid, my mum would always imagine herself something of a chef. Normally she was pretty good but her meatloaf was always something that I imagined would hunt its own food is she had not already burned it to a crisp. It was possibly the most revolting dish she ever made, which is odd cause meatloaf really isn't all that hard to make. And every Thursday we choked it down cause she had 'spent all afternoon over a hot stove, you're eating it or you'll be next weeks meatloaf!'
Strangest thing, I kind of miss it. I wonder if mum and dad are even still alive. | | Saturday, June 20th, 2009 | | 2:23 pm |
I think I've gone and given myself a sunburn. Merlin, my skin had gotten pale. Then again I don't think I've ever been so excited for a bit of my skin to feel like it's made of lava. Would have been nice for it to, well, not burn. But can't be picky about what the sun is going to do to you I suppose.
Though, suppose I should go and return to being Cinderella. Maybe my fairy godmother will show up and give me a pumpkin carriage conveniently able to get through Poison Ivy's wards.. I'd look terrible in glass slippers though. I'm sure everyone would agree on that. Plus don't think I'd want to wear the dress either. Or, you know, be a girl. There are quite a few flaws with this plan really. | | Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009 | | 2:42 pm |
I wonder if my camera still works. Not that I have it. Damn thing probably is lonely from lack of use. Not that I would even have the means to develop the pictures. Still, there's nothing like a camera in your hands. You can capture moments and trap them forever, so that they won't be forgotten. Memory is such a fickle thing, it can't be trusted all the time. Pictures can only lie if you trick them into it though.
Would have liked to have gotten a snapshot of that sunrise the other day. Underrated, sunrises. Everyone's always on and on about the setset. Rises are better in my opinion.
Beginning to wonder if I'm a pea, given how often I'm getting shuffled around as late. Least there aren't any Scarecrows about. Still, wondering just who I've managed to get caught up with, and no Robin to assist me. | | Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 | | 7:11 pm |
Used to think the Scarecrow didn't exist. Funny thing about thinking things don't exist, for some reason I keep finding out that they really do exist. Magic exists so why not super villains? I mean instead of Jonathon Crane it's the bloody dementors slipping around here. Same thing though, really. I mean this might as well be Arkham. Sure is going to drive me insane being here. Actually I'm not really sure how sane I am anymore. Least I haven't started laughing uncontrollably. And there's no Dr. Quinzel, which is a bit of a letdown. Dementors are a bit lacking in the looks department. And, you know, the human department.
But everyone knows what happens at Arkham. They never seem to be able to keep their villains locked up very long. | | Sunday, May 10th, 2009 | | 10:56 pm |
